MADD = Mothers Against Drunk Driving
Not Madd enough or Too Madd?
Here's the rules: If you're a teenage chastity advocate the one thing you really can't do is get pregnant. If you're a member of P.E.T.A. the one thing you really can't do is kick your dog. And if you were ever the president of Mothers Against Drunk Driving the one thing you really can't do is get busted behind the wheel with a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit.
It's always been my contention that negative emotions can spur positive change if a certain personality is having the emotion...oh say... like "anger." But when I see organizations with names promoting clear messages of anger, I fear that they absorb that anger and then become that anger...as opposed to using the initial *negative* feeling to move toward positivity. With a name like MADD, whenever I see the name, I always feel like - although a catchy acronym - it's just lands and sits on *angry.* And this woman looks angry.
