NY Cop Slams Bicyclist to the Ground
Critical Mass bicyclist, Christopher Long, 29 ,was slammed to the ground by N.Y. cop, Patrick Pogan, 23, who had been on patrol in the Midtown South Precinct for less than a month. [Watch the video.]
The bicyclist was charged with attempted assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was fortunately not seriously injured.
Craig Radhuber said he was riding about 3 feet behind Long when he was hit. "It was unprovoked," Radhuber said. "It was like the cop was waiting for him and then just checked him as he got closer. I couldn't believe it."
The New York Police Department said the officer has since been placed on desk duty pending an Internal Affairs investigation.
