The male passenger of a driver stopped in the 400 block of West Grand Avenue was told he needed to walk home because the driver was being arrested and the vehicle was going to be towed.
"You're going to give me a ride home?" the subject asked.
An officer told him to get out of the vehicle, get what was his and go. The subject got out and said he was on a public sidewalk and wasn't going anywhere.
He was in the immediate vicinity as the officer attempted to inventory the vehicle, and again was told to leave.
The subject said the officer couldn't make him leave and asked what he'd be arrested for.
Disorderly conduct and obstruction of official business, the officer said, and again told him to leave.
The subject took one step and asked, "How's this?"
He was advised that he'd be shot with a Taser if he didn't leave. The subject squared off, crossed his arms against his chest, and stated, "Do what you gotta do."
The officer used his Taser, and the subject became cooperative. He was jailed for disorderly conduct and obstruction of official business.
