The lion apparently did not care this man was invoking the name of God. The man is dead. The lion is alive. Sad story of how a person's mind can cause an otherwise untimely demise.

I SPY

Lions have had a taste for Christian since the days of Ancient Rome.

    Sadly, this doesn't prove anything.

If God doesn't exist, well, he could not save that guy from the lion. But if God do exist, would he actually care to save someone like that?

It may just prove God likes seeing Christians being ripped apart by lions.

I think it may prove that belief can surpass physical fact in the minds of some.

Belief, not only in God, but the belief that God will save him in the face of the fact that lions have the capacity and sometimes the will to kill people.

The guy made two assumptions on faith/belief that he felt would usurp the facts. He was clearly wrong in at least one assumption.
